Queens of Comedy Beef Is No Laughing Matter

Underwood revealed that she declined a spot on the Queens of Comedy tour because some of the other queens dissed her.

Last week, the ladies of “The Talk” have all been revealing major secrets about their lives to their viewers, and when it came time for Underwood to reveal her secret, she chose to open up about her bad experience with the Queens of Comedy.

Underwood explained that she had initially been offered a spot on the tour but turned it down when producers failed to give her enough details about of her potential deal. After the film became a major success and Monique left the tour, producer Walter Latham contacted Underwood again to ask her to be a part of a second taping for the comedy concert.

However, when Underwood phoned in early for a conference call to discuss the tour, she placed herself on mute and, shockingly, heard fellow comediennes bashing her on the call.

“So I dial into this call and what I hear is Sommore, Adele Givens and Laura Hayes talking about me on this call. I hear discussions about my appearance. I hear discussions about my ability, ‘Why is she going to be a part?’ ‘What do we need her for?’ This is my recollection of this call. And I was startled and hurt. I was so shocked and hurt that I could not unmute my phone to go ‘Aye b—-, I hear you!’” Underwood explained.

“But I thought take notes, listen because rarely would we hear someone talking about us and saying what they truly feel about us. And then after I listened to all this – and I want every woman to hear this – I was bruised but I wasn’t broken,” Underwood added.

Underwood says that after the call, she contacted Latham and politely declined his offer. She also says that she worked with or saw all of the women after hearing them bash her. But instead of shading them back, she says she decided to learn from their criticism.
