PRINCE: Going Offline

Prince has apparently gotten cold feet about social media. Various reports say the Purple One’s Twitter, Facebook, Soundcloud and YouTube videos have all disappeared.

According to London's Guardian, his representatives have declined to comment on the move. All that remains on Prince's YouTube VEVO account is an old interview and two versions of his 2013 single "Breakfast Can Wait." His Instagram page, which was active as recently as Tuesday, is gone.

While those moves have been made, he hasn't cut ties with streaming services. Prince's two recent releases are still available to stream on Spotify, as are his earlier albums.

I personally was VERY surprised that Prince was all over the internet. He is known for being reclusive and very private. So the social media thing was probably way out of his comfort zone. IJS
