PRESIDENT OBAMA: Makes His Case for Re-Election at DNC

President Obama made his case for re-election Thursday night as he closed the Democratic National Convention by saying we have a choice "between two different paths for America." He said America has a choice to move forward with his platform that suits a broader segment of the population than the vision of his Republican rival Mitt Romney.

Obama said, "Over the next few years, big decisions will be made in Washington, on jobs and the economy; taxes and deficits; energy and education; war and peace — decisions that will have a huge impact on our lives and our children's lives for decades to come. On every issue, the choice you face won't be just between two candidates or two parties, two different paths for America. It will be a choice between two different paths for America. A choice between two fundamentally different visions for the future."

He also highlighted the fact that he has the experience of serving nearly four years in the White House and dealing with the heartbreak of war, the mortgage crisis and unemployment.

In addition, he took shots and Romney and Republicans, mocking their oft-cited solution of budget cuts and tax cuts for the rich and Romney's missteps during his recent trip abroad.
