In the wake of Tuesday's Republican takeover of the Senate, President Obama and high-ranking Republicans said Wednesday that they plan to work together, but both sides hinted they are still not seeing eye-to-eye on some issues.
One of those winners was Senator Mitch McConnell, who was re-elected, and will become Senate majority leader in 2015. He said that now that Republicans have control of the Senate and the House, they'll try work on issues they can agree with Obama on and move forward, including possible tax changes and foreign trade pacts.
However, both sides hinted that there could be a new battle over immigration with Obama preparing to use his executive authority to rewrite the country's policies and McConnell calling such plans "a big mistake."
