Patti Labelle Countersues West Point Cadet Richard King over Airport Incident
Patti LaBelle says the incident involving a West Point cadet at Houston's airport began when he shouted profane and racial insults at her and her bodyguards. In her countersuit to one filed by Richard King, LaBelle also charges that King -- who has since been suspended by the academy and placed on active duty -- of being drunk, staggering around outside the terminal and trying to enter the singer's car. King's attorney denied LaBelle's allegations.
