Officer Shoots Suspect Outside Madison Fire Station

An alleged gunman was injured after being shot by a Metro Nashville Police officer outside a fire station in Madison.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the suspect has been identified as 42-year-old Kevin Lillard. He was being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The call came in shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday as a shots fired incident on South Gallatin Pike.

The investigation spanned across three scenes – the first at an apartment complex at 333 South Gallatin Pike. Metro Nashville Police Spokesman Don Aaron said they believe the initial gunfire occurred there.
