We popped champagne...Whooaaa!! We Celebrated our 1st Black President!

NOW WHAT??

I mean, I went to the mailbox 3 times already...no Obama Bailout Check. NOTHING!

The fact is, Obama's Presidency will probably be one of the toughest in recent memory. The country is in shambles and people want results...NOW!

So each day when you wake, ask yourself - what have you done to affect change in your neighborhoods, schools, and churches? What have you done to change yourself??

CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU! Let's Go Get It!!

I totally agree.. Everyone seems to think Obama has this fairy dust that he can somehow sprinkle around the country and everything will be magically fixed. Sorry folks not going to happen, unless we get out and volunteer like Obama has asked of all his fellow Americans, stay focus, and keep living. It's a chain of command..... Good things come to those who wait and at this time we all are going to have to wait and see what happens.. Everything has it's time... Bush really messed up things but look at it this way we have a black man in office now.. and I don't know about you all but when the going gets tough I would rather have a STRONG Black man in my corner any day, notice I said STRONG because there are some that are not there yet. Obama represents everything that a black man should be.. Obama and Michelle are letting the whole entire world know that not every black family has a "SINGLE" mother or father raising their children. Most importantly they showed the world that black families know what unconditional love is.

We as black people should start saving our money and stop trying to keep up with "The Jones' ". Honestly, that is some of our problem right there. If we start focusing on what we need in spite of what we have not then we would start seening the fruits of our hard earned labor. I know that the economy is hurting right now and frankly it's not our fault that those companies had people making huge mistakes that has now cost several people their jobs. But for the most part we can do something about it like go back to college if need to and start trying to make yourself more marketable. Those workers in the factories made more money than people who have degrees so I can understand why some people chose that route, but at the same time they should've had a plan B because those jobs are not guaranteed especially when you see everyday jobs like that getting shipped overseas for cheaper labor. Plus everyone knows that a foreign car is better than an American made car anyday.. sad to say but very true.. I could go on and go but I think I have said enough.. lol
