New England Patroits Tight End's home searched in connection with homicide

The home of New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was searched by investigators Tuesday afternoon after a man police called an "associate" of Hernandez was found dead.

During the search at Hernandez's $1.3 million mansion, the athlete was reportedly uncooperative with police when questioned about the body of a 27-year-old man found in a nearby industrial park. Sources say that a rental car with Rhode Island plates recovered at the crime scene led investigators to Hernandez.

While authorities were at Hernandez's residence, two of Hernandez's friends tried to leave the house, but were stopped by state police, who searched the vehicle they were attempting to flee in.
