NEPAL EARTHQUAKE: Death Toll Now Tops 5,000

Nepal's National Emergency Operation Center said the death toll has reached 5,057. Another 11,000 injuries reported. (NBC News)

There are some remote areas of Nepal that haven't even been reached yet and there are likely to be deaths there. Nepal's prime minister warns that the death toll could quickly reach 10,000. Aid is being driven and flown in to the hardest hit areas. It is estimated that 1.4-million people are without food and about 750,000 are homeless. (Toronto Star)
