NBC STUDIOS serves Fried Chicken, Corn Bread, and Collard Greens for Black History Month

QUESTLOVE: NBC Meant No Harm

Questlove says people should lighten up about the picture he posted last week on Twitter, in which the cafeteria at N-B-C's studios in New York saluted Black History Month with fried chicken, collard greens, black eyed peas and cornbread.

The drummer for The Roots -- who are the house band for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon -- writes on Twitter, "In no way did I ever think that this was some cruel, insensitive joke on behalf of [network president] Jeff Zucker and his comrades at N-B-C. The cafeteria isn't even owned or operated by N-B-C." In fact, the cafeteria's chef, Leslie Calhoun, is black.

Questlove adds, "The problem is in the blogosphere, things can take on a life of their own."
