NASHVILLE'S MAYOR WANTS TO PUT A THEME PARK IN THE PLACE OF THE TENNESSEE STATE FAIRGROUNDS SITE!! THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Mayor Karl Dean has proposed building a $2 million park at the government-owned Tennessee State Fairgrounds site in Nashville.

According to a local newspaper, Dean has said he wants to put baseball and soccer fields at the 117-acre site just south of downtown.

The state fair is under way through Sunday under the management of a nonprofit group. It would be the last such fair unless another site is found.

The fairgrounds also are used for auto racing, flea markets and other events such as gun shows.

I want to know what the mayor plans to do about Hartman park since the flood. He seems to find money for every other project including giving money to Gaylord for the Opryhouse, but cannot find to rebuild Hartman.

Awesome Idea! That would bring so much tourist revenue and keep middle Tennesseans from driving to Atlanta and in the past Louisville
