Mother and son escape from overnight house fire.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An elderly woman woke up to find her Bordeaux home on fire. Fire broke out at the home on Haynes Park Court around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Fire officials said the woman screamed when she woke up to see flames. Her son woke up and was able to get them to safety.

The fire appears to have started in the kitchen, and then spread to the roof. The home does not appear to be a total loss.
