All three members of the group Migos were denied bond today (Monday) in Bulloch County, Georgia. Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff were booked on felony charges for possession of schedule one narcotics charges and for having firearms in a school zone.
The Atlanta rap trio was performing at Georgia Southern University's annual Spring Bling concert when police closed in on them. Before the show, Statesboro police and sheriff's deputies allegedly detected "a very potent smell" of marijuana coming from the artists' tour vans. As Migos headed inside to perform their set, police contacted the van's drivers to authorize a search of the vehicles.
Law enforcement officials say the search turned up multiple guns, marijuana and another undisclosed drug. Police say they found the incident particularly troubling given the proximity of the drugs and firearms to a school-sponsored event. Georgia NBC affiliate WSAV tweeted a picture from a Bulloch County courtroom Monday morning, writing, "Everybody denied bail." About a dozen other individuals who were rolling with Migos were also taken in for questioning, though there's no word on their identities or status.
