Miami Dolphins Coach Chris Foerster Resigns After Video Surfaces of Him Snorting Coke

As expected, Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster has resigned in the wake of a video posted to Facebook on Sunday night that shows him inhaling a powdery white substance using a rolled-up $20 bill.

In a statement released to media by the Dolphins, Foerster said, “I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions. I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals.”

In the same release, there was a statement from the team, which was not credited to any specific person: “We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior. After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately. Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time.”

In the video, Foerster is speaking to a woman in between snorting lines of the substance, which he says he is doing before going to a meeting. An NFL assistant since 1993, Foerster was in his second stint with the Dolphins; he was the team’s offensive coordinator for the 2004 season under Dave Wannstedt, and returned last year when Adam Gase was hired as head coach.

It is unclear if the video was taken during his most recent tenure with the Dolphins.

Former NFL guard Chris Kuper, Miami’s assistant offensive line coach, will likely be elevated to take over the group, though there was not an immediate announcement.
