Mayor Megan Barry taps Eddie George to help lead economic inclusion panel

Mayor Megan Barry has turned to former Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George and new Metro Director of Schools Shawn Joseph to lead a new advisory committee on economic inclusion and financial decision-making.

Barry announced the panel at a Thursday news conference, billing the 17-member Economic Inclusion Advisory Committee as an effort to create a “Nashville Vision” that helps empower low- and middle-income Nashvillians towards financial inclusion. George and Joseph will serve as co-chairs of the group.
