MAXINE WATERS SAYS: SHOW ME THE PROOF!

Democratic congresswoman Maxine Waters of California has come out swinging after being charged yesterday by the House Ethics Committee of three ethics violations -- including using her influence to steer a $12 million bailout to One United Bank. Her husband once sat on the bank's board and held stock in it.

Waters has challenged the committee to detail its allegations and insists she's not willing to accept any deals. She tells TheGrio.com that the committee hasn't shown any evidence that she benefited from the bailout because she didn't profit and that she's "not going to the backroom."
