Marvin Isley Dies-Brandy and Flo-Rida DONE?-Fantasia Gets Her "Cap and Gown"

Marvin Isley -- bassist for the Isley Brothers -- died Sunday in Chicago of complications from diabetes. He was 56. Marvin was an integral part of the R&B group's success from the 1970s on, playing on the band's successful 3 + 3 album.

Mathew Knowles threw cold water on the latest Destiny's Child reunion rumors yesterday, saying in a statement, "Contrary to rumors online of a Destiny's Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album. The rumors are false."

Fantasia -- who revealed she was illiterate a few years back -- received an honorary degree last weekend at the graduation ceremony for AndrewsHigh School in Greensboro, North Carolina. She walked with the graduates in a cap and gown at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Brandy has broken off her fling with Flo Rida to "focus on what I need to do."

Monica will perform the national anthem at game three of the NBA Finals in Boston tonight. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics are tied one-to-one in the best-of-seven series.
