MARIAH CAREY: Nervous Break Down?‏

Is Mariah Carey trying to drink away her sorrows following her break up with Nick Cannon?

Friends of the couple tell OK! magazine that one reason Nick broke things off is because Mariah wouldn't check into rehab. The friends say that Mimi is becoming dependent on a mixture of champagne and anti-depressants, and has become obsessed with her looks. One insider says, "She stays up all night, looking at every frame of herself in every photo and dissecting it to death... She's going to have a total nervous breakdown if someone doesn't intervene soon. She really needs help before she ends up in the hospital."

It was widely reported that Carey suffered a nervous breakdown following her divorce from Tommy Mottola, though she later denied it during an interview with Good Morning America. "I was totally exhausted and I needed to go to sleep and I need rest and I needed people to leave me alone... It wasn't like I went schizo and needed to be put in a straightjacket or tried to kill myself."
