MARIAH CAREY: Misses Taped Tree Lighting Performance

Tonight's Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center will have everything as advertised except for one thing -- Mariah Carey.

The NBC special was supposed to kick off with a pre-taped performance of Mariah's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," but the performance never happened. According to TMZ, Mariah never made it to the taping and boy is NBC upset.

Fans stood outside in the cold waiting for her to arrive, and she did -- three hours late. But at that point, NBC executives were so annoyed that they told her and her crew to leave. Mariah's camp has not yet commented. Employees at the hotel she's staying at say Mariah didn't leave in time because she was on the phone with her lawyer discussing her divorce from Nick Cannon.
