Man Killed Over Parking

Authorities arrested one man in connection to a fatal shooting officials said allegedly started over parking.

Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Andre Lavon Henderson of Nashville.

Officers said an argument allegedly broke out between Henderson and the suspect, 36-year-old Calvin Carter, after both parked their cars in an alley behind Blank Street.

According to police, Carter was apparently upset over how Henderson parked, and after going their separate ways, Carter allegedly went with a gun to the apartment where Henderson was located.

That's when police said the argument moved back to Carter's apartment where he allegedly shot Henderson in the chest.

Henderson was taken to General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers said Carter was detained and admitted to shooting Henderson.

Carter was charged with criminal homicide and lodged in jail on a $1 million bond. WTVF
