Madonna calls Obama a Black Muslim

Maybe she was joking or maybe she gets her information for FOX News. Whatever the case, earlier this week at a show in Washington, D.C., Madonna said that she supports President Obama and referred to him as a "black Muslim."

UPDATE: Madonna released a statement on Tuesday night saying she was being deliberately "ironic on stage," adding, "Yes, I know Obama is not a Muslim -- though I know that plenty of people in this country think he is. And what if he were? The point I was making is that a good man is a good man, no matter who he prays to. I don't care what religion Obama is -- nor should anyone else in America."

In a clip from the show Monday night posted on YouTube, Madonna gave an F-bomb-laden speech supporting Obama. She said, "Now, it's so amazing and incredible to think that we have an African-American in the White House…we have a black Muslim in the White House…it means there is hope in this country, and Obama is fighting for gay rights, so support the man."

Obama, by the way, is Christian, but there are certain segments of the population that maintain he is a Muslim and not a natural-born U.S. citizen.

At Monday's show and a show in New York earlier this month, Madonna had "OBAMA" written on her back and on a bra in D.C. At the show, she threatened to take it all off if he is re-elected.
