Ludacris and his Foundation are bringing Thanksgiving cheer to 250 metro Atlanta families

.Rap mogul Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and his Ludacris Foundation are always busiest around the holidays. Unlike other foundations that give back only during tax season (I SEE YOU, Jay Z), Luda and his mom, Roberta Shields, give back to the community year round.
Atlanta, GA – Award winning musician and actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and his foundation, The Ludacris Foundation, remembers the importance of giving back and extending a helping hand to those that are less fortunate. In what has become a tradition, today The Ludacris Foundation distributed Thanksgiving turkeys, greens, and sweet potatoes to over 250 residents of metro Atlanta. The event was held at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center on 3404 Delmar Lane, SW Atlanta.
The TLF Thanksgiving turkey giveaway is a part of the Foundation’s LudaCares Initiative. The LudaCares Initiative is dedicated to supporting kids and families in need during the holiday season. Providing food, toys and surprise visits.
“This is the foundation’s eleventh year giving away turkeys and distributing food boxes for Thanksgiving. I especially look forward to this time of year because it allows me directly touch the people we are trying to help, said Ludacris. If we all pitch in we can help families who have unfortunately been overwhelmed by a hurting economy and possible joblessness. Collectively we can make a huge difference – You don’t need to be an entertainer or rich to help! Just do something small – something that says that they are not forgotten – something that says they are not alone.”
“Our major focus is youth – at the holiday time we uplift youth by uplifting the family” stated Roberta Shields, President of The Ludacris Foundation.
The Foundation helps people year around through our LudaCares Program.
“It’s a great feeling to sit with your love ones and share the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us during this holiday season. If we add to their blessings in a small way then we have accomplished our goal.”
