Local News: Shooting in North Nashville

Courtesy of WTVF: At least one person was killed and another hurt in a shooting in the north Nashville area.

Officers with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department first responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex near Ed Temple Boulevard and Clarksville Pike just before 1 p.m. today.

One person was found shot to death in the parking lot. The victim's identity is not currently available. 

Witnesses reported seeing the shooter drive away in a black Ford Mustang. 

A short time later, another gunshot victim was reportedly found in a vehicle on 33rd Avenue North at Alameda Street on Tennessee State University’s campus.

The same black Mustang was found at the scene, full of bullet holes. 

At least one person was taken to the hospital from that location, but the condition was unknown.

Those involved were NOT students at TSU, according to the university.

Police were still working to determine exactly what happened.
