Local News: 5 People Were Shot Last Night

An active search is underway in Nashville for two suspects who have been accused in at least one shooting and various other violent crimes overnight.

Officials with Metro police said they are searching for two suspects in connection with a shooting outside a Bordeaux nightclub, a carjacking near Vanderbilt Medical Center and various other crimes across the city.

Three men in their late 20s were in the parking lot when two suspects approached their car and demanded money. At some point, shots were fired and struck three of the four people in the car.

A man was found hiding under a house after he was shot and pistol whipped south of Nashville.

The incident happened before 4 a.m. Friday, on Claiborne Street.

Officials with Metro police said a 21-year-old man was shot and pistol whipped. From there, he ran and hid under a house on Perkins Street.

It was not known why he fled to the home.

He was taken to an area hospital but was expected to survive.

A man has been taken to the hospital after being found with a gunshot wound Thursday.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said they received a call around 9:15 p.m. at 223 Village Green of a man that had been shot and was asking various citizens for help.

They found a 16-year-old black male was shot two to three times in the abdomen.

Investigators discovered that the victim and two other males were admiring the victim’s gun when one of the suspects grabbed it and shot the victim in the stomach.

After the victim was shot everyone fled the scene on foot. Officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate anyone. The incident remains under further investigation.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.
