And it used to be a match made in heaven.
Earlier today (Thursday), Lil Wayne tweeted that the reason behind the delay of his upcoming album Tha Carter V is his unhealthy relationship with Baby and Cash Money.
In a string of messages, Weezy compared the label -- on which he's released all of his albums and which is the home of his Young Money imprint -- to being in prison. "To all my fans, I want you to know that my album won't and hasn't been released because Baby and Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it. I want off this label and nothing to do with these people, but unfortunately it ain't that easy... This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation."
In March, MTV reported that Tha Carter V, which Wayne said would be his "final solo album," would be out in May. He released a few singles and even co-headlined a tour with Drake, but no album appeared. Cash Money then said it would drop in late October and then December 9th. And now the company's website merely says Tha Carter V is "coming soon."

The Quickies:
Well, that's one side of the story.
With out Wayne as the face of Cash Money, there is no Cash Money. It'd be like Eminem leaving Shady Records.
So Tyga was right?
