Keyshia Cole is walking away scot free in her criminal case after facing up to 30 days of jail time. The R&B diva's lawyer convinced a California judge to not enforce a 10-year-old bench warrant in court Monday.
The warrant dates back to a 2002 DUI Cole received. When she allegedly did not complete her court-mandated probation and alcohol education courses, a warrant was put out for her arrest.
Cole's lawyer says the whole thing is a big misunderstanding, and that her former lawyer screwed up by failing to inform the court when she completed the alcohol education program years ago. The judge agreed, ripping up the bench warrant and formally putting an end to Keyshia's 12-years of probation.
