KANYE WEST EXPLAINS WHY HE STILL IS PLANNING TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2020

Last year, Kanye West received the #MTV Video Vanguard Award and during his speech ‘Ye surprisingly announced his candidacy for the 2020 presidential race. A majority of the world shoved that statement off as a joke, I mean, Kanye says things all the time, but no one thought he was serious…until now. The rapper recently spoke to BBC where he claims he still plans to run for president and explains why.

“We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year, we’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July … we’re numb to places on the Earth that we don’t live – like our life is okay but it’s okay for other people’s lives to not be okay,” West said in a phone call with BBC. “When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views, I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth. If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.”

Kanye’s heart is in the right place, but do you guys think he needs to run for president (and possibly win) in order to do any of these things? On that note, do y’all think he stands a chance against Hillary in 2020? *cough cough*

West also is also working with designers in order to make high fashions affordable for those who can’t afford hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of clothing. He feels that it would help prevent kids from being bullied for what they’re wearing. I personally think that’s a fantastic way to combat a very big problem in schools, because I was bullied as a kid for essentially being poor.

Do you guys think Kanye will keep his promise and actually run for president?
