Justin Timberlake Gets Superbowl Gig! But What About Janet?? Is She Banned?

The minute that JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE was confirmed as the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show, people started to talk about how cool it would be if he invited JANET JACKSON back for redemption. Of course, that's because they were at the center of the 'wardrobe malfunction' controversy during the 2004 Super Bowl.

That apparently started some rumors that Janet had been BANNED . . . and hashtags like '#JusticeForJanet' started trending on social media.

Well, the NFL was asked about it, and they let it be known that Janet is NOT banned, and never has been. So, it's POSSIBLE that Justin could invite her to join him . . . but it's unclear if either he or Janet is interested. The NFL said, quote, "We're not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests. There may be no guests . . . we have no clue."

Janet hasn't commented.

(While it's true that Janet hasn't been back to the Super Bowl since 'NippleGate', only a FEW people ever get to perform at the Super Bowl, so not many get the opportunity to come back. Shania Twain, Sting, U2, and Aerosmith all did the halftime show before Janet, and none of them have been back, either. Are THEY banned?)

. . . There's no word what he's planning, but I'm sure he'll keep us ABREAST of the situation. (Rim Shot!)

If you needed a sign that ACTUAL progress is being made toward more gender equality, here you go.

According to a new survey, one of the oldest stereotypical examples of gender roles has flipped. The majority of women now say it's a TURN OFF if a guy pays on the first date. They'd much rather split the bill evenly.

The survey also found the two worst things to do on a first date are talking about the weather or going to a horror movie.

MIGUEL was hoping that his last album "Wildheart" would make him a huge global star, and even though it did OK, it didn't quite work out that way. And he was bummed out.

He says, quote, "I lost touch with my emotions. It was a down period. I was just quiet. Real quiet. And also putting up a front, like I was OK with everything, when I really wasn't. I put up a wall so it was hard for my friends and family to help."

Then he funneled that energy into his next album "War & Leisure", which he describes as an upbeat album that also tries to speak to these troubled times. He says, quote, "What are we supposed to do caught in the middle of this? We're at the brink of complete war and complete pleasure, at all times, every day."

MEEK MILL's misdemeanor assault case has apparently been dismissed. He was accused of getting into an altercation at the St. Louis International Airport after two employees supposedly tried to get a picture with him. He agreed to do some community service in exchange for having the case go away.
