JAY-Z AND KANYE: Break iTunes Records With New Album

Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne has broken the U.S. iTunes store's one-week sales record after selling almost 290,000 downloads in its first week out. The album was available exclusively on iTunes last Monday through Thursday before being released to all other sales outlets on Friday. Coldplay held the record with the 2008 album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, which moved just over 280,000 in its first week.
Hov and Yeezy are expected to debut at number-one on the Billboard 200 this week with a potential sales total of 450,000 copies.
