The producers of Jay Sean‘s 2009 album All or Nothing say they haven't gotten it all -- far from it, in fact -- of the royalties due them from Cash Money Records. Orange Factory Music is suing the label for close to $1 million.
According to TMZ, Orange Factory says it received $211,000 in 2011 but no further royalties from Birdman's label -- despite statements that indicate at least that much is still due.
Jay Sean, who Billboard calls the "best-selling urban artist in the history of the U.K.," recently left Cash Money. Apparently the split was amicable. He told Billboard, "I had and still maintain a great relationship with Slim and Baby [CEOs of Cash Money]. They believed in me and my talent and our partnership obviously garnered a lot of pop success."
The Quickies:
Someone claiming they didn't get paid by from Cash Money? Imagine that.
Jay Sean is trying to keep it civil and drama free.
Did you know he was that popular in Britain? That means there's a lot of money at stake here...
