JACKSON FIVE: 1970s Cartoon Series Coming to DVD

The Jackson Five cartoon series will be out on DVD early next year. BroadwayWorld.com says all 23 episodes -- each with two original songs  -- will be released by Classic Media in mid-January 2013. Co-produced by Rankin/Bass and Motown, the series debuted on ABC's Saturday morning schedule September 11th, 1971. For trivia buffs, actor Don Fullilove, who played mayor Goldie Wilson in the first two Back to the Future movies, voiced Michael's character. (Both Fullilove and Jackson were born in 1958.)
