Mel Gibson isn't the only celeb under investigation for domestic violence. Jaleel White, who played "Urkel" on Family Matters, has been accused of physically abusing his baby mama, punching her in one of her breast implants, slapping her and pushing her into a toilet.

Now the law has gotten involved in the escalating nastiness between Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department is investigating claims the star assaulted his ex-girlfriend earlier this year. The Sheriff's office says it is "gathering information regarding the allegations" but would not disclose any other details.
