IT’S OFFICIAL!

Memphis, TN — February 14, 2013 — Amidst rumors produced from the posting of an Instagram photo, Memphis-born artist and entrepreneur Yo Gotti is proud to formally announce his new CMG label partnership with Epic Records. The multi-million dollar, multi-tier deal will offer a complete distribution and promotional opportunity for CMG.

“This is a solid partnership that allows me to do what I do on bigger platforms, with the respect and support of the Epic team,” explains Yo Gotti. “Throughout L.A. Reid’s career, I realize he has been a part of creating some of the biggest superstars in the industry. I feel there is no better person to partner with.”

Yo Gotti asserts that Benny Pough, Epic’s EVP of Urban Music, was extremely supportive of the signing from their initial talks: “After my meeting with L.A. Reid, Benny Pough and his staff felt like Epic would be the perfect home to further the growth of CMG.”

Yo Gotti has released over a dozen successful mixtapes, charting singles, and five complete albums. In 2011, he launched his site YoGottiMusic.com to immediate success, as his growing internet following (currently over 1.8 million on Facebook, 623k on Twitter and 428k on Instagram) supported wholeheartedly.

In 2012, Gotti set out on his CMG ‘Road to Riches Tour’ with formidable sponsorship from Flat Fitty, all facilitated without any major label support. The tour sold out shows in the majority of stops over six weeks, further boosting the value of Gotti’s branded merchandise and musical influence.

Yo Gotti followed the tour with the release of “I Got That Sack”, an instant fan favorite single that hit radio stations and clubs across the country with fervor. Yo Gotti’s diehard entrepreneurial spirit and ability to deliver strong music sparked a bidding war between several labels, spanning several months from 2012 into the new year.

“A lot of labels were talking big checks, but the money didn’t interest me,” explains Gotti. “I wanted a partner that wasn’t afraid to work as hard as I do. I knew that by sticking to my independent business mind frame and continuing to chase my dream, that the right situation was going to come.”

Additionally, the CMG team pushed Yo Gotti’s latest single “Check” into the Billboard Top 20, and he will be releasing the official video with full support from Epic.

“The independent success we’ve had thus far with our tour, merchandising and projects from myself and my first artist Zed Zilla has given me the perfect opportunity to create the best possible partnership for CMG,” Gotti says. “I have no doubt that we will take our movement to its pinnacle with Epic Records.”
