COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Authorities found a suspect's dentures, engraved with his name, near the body of a woman found dead on a roadside in Smith County.
The Cookeville Herald Citizen reports the body of Cynthia Dawn Crabtree, of Cookeville, was discovered May 28. About 10 feet away were state-issued dentures belonging to Mike Horn.
Putnam Sheriff's Detective Mike Hoover said officers still do not know how Crabtree died but Horn has been named a suspect in the 28-year-old's death.
The 46-year-old Horn was arrested shortly after Crabtree's body was found when a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent trying to serve a warrant on an unrelated charge claims Horn attempted to run over him with his car.
Horn is in jail in Putnam County awaiting a hearing on attempted murder charges stemming from that incident.
