Glenn Ford Released After 30 Years In Angola For Murder!

After spending nearly three decades on death row, a Louisiana man was released on Tuesday after a court overturned his conviction for the murder of a Shreveport businessman.

Glenn Ford was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola on Tuesday at about 5:40 p.m. As he walked out of the prison gates, he told WAFB-TV, "It feels good; my mind going in all kind of directions. It feels good."

While he was happy to be free, he said he does have some ill will for being wrongly imprisoned, adding, "Cause, I've been locked up almost 30 years for something I didn't do."

ORIGINAL STORY: Glenn Ford, a black man wrongfully convicted of murder by an all-white jury in Louisiana in 1984, a man who has spent the last 30 years on death row for a crime he did not commit following a trial filled with constitutional violations, is on the verge of being set free. Once that happens (and it could happen as soon as tomorrow after a hearing in the case) he will become one of the longest-serving death row inmates in modern American history to be exonerated and released.  READ MORE
