Gilbert Gottfried Loses Over $1 Million Dollars A Year

Gilbert Gottfried's days as a talking duck are over.

Aflac has fired the comedian -- who voiced the insurance company's mascot in its commercials -- after he tweeted offensive jokes about the earthquake in Japan.

Aflac released a statement yesterday saying, "Gilbert's recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac... Aflac will immediately set plans in motion to conduct a nationwide casting call to find a new voice of the iconic Aflac Duck."

One of Gilbert's 12 tsunami-related tweets read, "Japan is really advanced. They don't go to the beach. The beach comes to them."
