Since bottoming out a few months ago, gas prices have just been climbing and climbing. Triple-A reported yesterday that gas prices rose by one-tenth of a cent -- the 54th straight day of increases, pushing the average price of a gallon of self-serve unleaded regular in the U-S to two-69. The run up in gas prices, which has raised the average price of a gallon of gas 67-percent this year, could level off during the time it usually reaches for its annual peak -- the July 4th holiday.
