FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE NEWS FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS!

16-year-old Lauren ‘Lulu’ Williams has turned her humiliation into triumph after classmates at Franklin High School in Tennessee filmed themselves ripping off her wig for a $5 bet.

Lauren suffers from psoriasis — a condition that causes severe scalp dryness and hair breakage and loss. She turned to wearing wigs to mask the condition.

The wig was glued and pinned to Lauren’s scalp. As the bully snatched it off, she was left with chunks of her hair missing. The torment didn’t stop there. Another student followed her into the bathroom with a camera as she tried to hide.

“She followed me in there, was laughing, videotaping me over the stall,” Lauren said.

Sadly, the incident was then shared on Snapchat with the caption ‘weave snatching’.

After regaining her composure, Lauren decided to shave her head completely in an effort to stand up against bullying and not thet them win.

“My hair was one of my biggest insecurities so I felt like he had taken my power and I wanted it back,” explained Lauren.  “When I walk around with a bald head he’ll know that he didn’t do anything but give me more power to speak out to other people.”
