Finally Nashville will get a theme park!!! No one has to go 3 hours away to ride a rollercoaster!!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The final designs for Nashville's $8.5 million Riverfront Adventure Park project are set to be unveiled at an open house Thursday night

The park will be located on the Cumberland River between the Shelby Street Bridge and the Korean War Veterans Bridge.

The open house is scheduled for Thursday night from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at LP Field's west club level.

Preliminary design plans for the park have included waterfalls, slides, tire swings and hammocks.

The park is set to open in 2011
