Embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling will not go quietly. On Thursday, the news broke that he has no plans to pay the $2.5 million fine he was hit with by the NBA following the verification of his voice on that now infamous recorded racist rant.
Sterling's attorney sent a letter to the NBA that said he won't pay the fine and doesn't warrant "any punishment at all" for that racist rant heard in a conversation with his girlfriend V. Stiviano.
He's being represented by Maxwell M. Blecher, a famed anti-trust lawyer, who claims that the fine is a violation of Sterling's rights of due process.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver levied the fine on April 29th and Sterling has already missed the deadline earlier this week for paying up.
It's no surprise that Sterling is putting up a fight, since he's well known for fighting battles in court.
