It’s coming up for Black Friday – the last weekend before Christmas and most work places will hit the town for one heck of a party.

But be warned, there are many pitfalls that await you on the boozey night out.

Here’s our guide of dos and don’ts to keep you out of trouble:

Do turn up

You don’t want to miss out on the gossip on Monday morning. It will be the talk of the office on Monday.

Don’t start a dance off.

Yes, you might think you could bust some moves, but in reality you probably can’t.

Don’t bring up past grievances.

Let the past stay in the past – you could land yourself in bother

Do make the most of any freebies – but don’t make yourself look like a pig.

This one is hard. Everyone loves free food and drink but restrain yourself!

Do dress appropriately.

Turning up in a ridiculous attire might seem fun, but it won’t be if everyone else is glammed up.

Don’t declare your love for the girl/guy you’ve had your eye on all year.

Not only will it be embarrassing for you – it will ruin any relationship you’ve had with that person.

Do be on hand to split up any disputes should they arise.

You’ll the the hero of the night – and will stop work from being awkward.

Don’t over do it if you’re working the next day.

Yes, it’s annoying you’re scheduled to work the following day, but you’ll regret those Jagerbombs everyone was urging you to have.

Do remember who you’re speaking to

You don’t want to blurt out the best tips for skiving when you’re boss is right beside you.

Do enjoy yourself.
