Diggy Simmons Stars in New BET Scripted Comedy Pilot

 It seems like just yesterday that Diggy Simmons made his television debut, starring alongside his family on the MTV reality series Run's House. Now Diggy's getting his own show, a scripted comedy that's being executive produced by The Game's Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil.

That's according to Deadline.com, which reports that BET has greenlighted the still-untitled Diggy project, a two-hour pilot/original movie. Diggy would portray the main character, Blake, a blogger making his way with a little help from his friends. G.O.O.D. Music's Teyana Taylor has been cast in the role of Blake's ex-girlfriend, Tae. And Bria Murphy, the daughter of funnyman Eddie Murphy, is set to play Nia, the girlfriend of Blake's best friend, Manny, according Deadline.com.
