Sean "Diddy" Combs was released from Los Angeles County Jail overnight after posting $50,000 bail after allegedly attacking his son Justin’s UCLA football coach with a kettlebell.

Combs was hit with five charges -- one count of making terrorist threats, a count of battery and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon. That last one is considered a felony, leading to bond being set at $160,000.

Both sides are pointing fingers as to who was the aggressor, with Diddy claiming he was wielding the exercise weight in self-defense against strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi. Puff was meeting with his son’s coach because he felt Alosi had been extra hard on Justin during recent team practices. He's said to have become angered after being told he'd have to wait for a meeting with Alosi, who was on the phone at the time. Sources close to Diddy say when Alosi threatened to have security remove him from the office, Diddy offered to call police himself, which prompted the coach to get physical.

UCLA head coach Jim Mora gave a statement Tuesday evening calling the situation “an unfortunate incident for all parties involved” and said they would let the legal process run its course. Diddy has yet to make an official statement. (TMZ)

Say What:

Puff doesn’t like being told to wait.

The strength and conditioning coach might have been experiencing some roid rage.

The incident is said to have been captured on video, so we’ll see what story the footage tells.

Hopefully Puff doesn’t get banned from future UCLA athletic events.

You could imagine a celebrity’s kid getting tougher treatment on the field.

Diddy's apparently referred to by coaching staff as a helicopter parent -- maybe he got a little over-protective.
