Former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman was charged with hit and run after driving the wrong way on the freeway causing a car crash in Newport Beach, California.
Rodman was charged with one misdemeanor count of hit and run with property damage, one misdemeanor count of driving a motor vehicle across a dividing section, one misdemeanor count of giving false information to a police officer, and one misdemeanor count of driving a motor vehicle without a valid license, according to a Orange County press release.
Rodman was reportedly driving northbound in the southbound carpool lane. A car driving the right way was forced to swerve to avoid a head-on collision and crashed into the center divider. That person called 911.
Dennis allegedly fled the scene before cops arrived and never exchanged info with the other driver.
Cops investigated the incident — and officials say Rodman lied to investigators.
