Chris Brown’s Probation REVOKED After Two Shootings At His Club Appearances

Chris Brown's probation has been revoked, in connection to his appearance at a nightclub were five people were shot and injured on January 11th. Although the singer himself wasn't involved in the incident, by performing at the Fiesta venue in San Jose, California, Brown violated a provision in his probation forbidding him from leaving Los Angeles County. There is also the issue of Brown still needing to complete 200 hours of community service, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Although the judge overseeing Brown's case didn't order the singer to be taken into custody, he did request another hearing to determine Brown's progress, scheduled for March 20th. He also asked the probation department to look further into the Fiesta shooting in order to establish that Brown had no involvement with the incident.

While Brown's latest pitfall seems to be an unfortunate case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, it's just the latest mark on the X singer's legal history. Brown's probation still stems from his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Brown was then jailed for various probation-breaking reasons, like being dismissed from rehab and getting into an altercation with a man outside a Washington D.C. hotel in October 2013.

In the latter case, Brown served just three weeks of a 131-day sentence before he was released in June 2014. Two months after the singer exited prison, hip-hop mogul Suge Knight was shot six times at a pre-MTV Video Music Awards party hosted by Brown. There was also Brown's infamous dustup with Frank Ocean regarding a recording studio parking spot and an alleged hit-and-run.

Police in San Jose continue to investigate the Fiesta shooting that left five people suffering from non-life-threatening bullet wounds. No arrests have been made as of Thursday, but KRON 4 reports that the nightclub had its entertainment permit suspended for 60 days following the incident.
