Cee Lo Green Tapped to Sing NFL's Thursday Night Football Anthem

Are you ready for some Cee Lo? Cee Lo Green has been tapped to perform a new anthem for the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football.

The 90-second anthem, or "fanthem," as it's been nicknamed, is called "I Love Football," and is set to the tune of The Ramones' punk classic "Blitzkrieg Bop." It will feature videos of fans singing the tune along with Cee Lo.

"I don't like golfing/I don't like tennis/I don't like anything/Just fooball," sings Cee Lo. "The crowd's going crazy/We love football."

"I really love my football,” The Voice coach said in a statement. “I’m honored to help create such a historic, pop-culture moment and interactive fan experience.”

Each Thursday Night Football game will feature fan videos specifically tied to that night's matchup. The first one pits the Chicago Bears against the Green Bay Packers, and you'll see fans of those teams singing along with Cee Lo on September 13 at 8 p.m. ET.

Fans who want to submit their videos can visit NFL.com/Fanthem. Those whose videos are selected will be notified by email.
