Courtesy of WTVF, a 13-year-old girl who was shot in a drive-by shooting in Lebanon has passed away from her injuries.
Officials with Lebanon Police Department said Casia Watkins died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Funeral arrangements were pending.
Watkins was struck by a bullet in the head while she was sleeping inside her grandmother's home on Sycamore Street around 10:35 p.m. Monday.
Four others were inside the home at the time, but were not hurt.
Lebanon Police said the shooting was not random; however, Watkins was not believed to have been the intended target. There was no immediate word on a possible motive, but police believe there was more than one gunman.
Police collected shell casings from outside the home and canvassed the area. No suspects have been identified.
The investigation was ongoing.
Lebanon Police has offered a reward for information. Anyone with information was asked to call Lebanon Police at 615-444-2323.
