BUJU BANTON: Mistrial Declared, Retrial in December

Buju Banton will face a retrial in December after a federal judge in Florida declared a mistrial in his drug-trafficking case. Banton was accused of conspiring to buy cocaine from an undercover police officer last year. But on Monday, jurors sent Judge James Moody a second note saying they couldn't reach a verdict.

Buju's attorney, David Markus, refused to take our calls seeking comment. Markus has asked Moody to release Banton -- who's been in prison since his December 10th arrest -- on bond.
