Box Office Sales for the Past Weekend

BOX-OFFICE REPORT   

1. Fury - $23.5 million

2. Gone Girl - $17.8 million

3. The Book of Life - $17 million

4. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day - $12 million

5. The Best of Me - $10.2 million

Fury rolled over the competition at the weekend box office. The World War 2 drama, starring Brad Pitt as a tank commander, opened at number-one with $23.5 million.

That bumped Gone Girl to second with $17.8 million after two weeks at the top spot. 

The animated The Book of Life premiered in third with $17 million.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day dropped from third to fourth with $12 million.

And the romance The Best of Me premiered in fifth with $10.2 million.
