BONO: Flight Scare

Bono had quite the scare yesterday when the private plane he was flying on suddenly lost its rear door.

The U2 singer and four friends were aboard the Learjet from Dublin to Berlin when they started hearing a rumbling noise that they all assumed was turbulence. It turns out that the rear door somehow became detached and flew off the plane somewhere over Germany. Two suitcases were also lost from the luggage compartment.

The plane landed safely and German officials say it was never in danger of crashing. Bono was traveling to Berlin to meet up with the rest of the band where they are receiving a Bambi entertainment award. (NY Daily News)
